Aerosol Drift Modeling

Aerosol dispersion is a critical concern in many industrial, agricultural, and environmental applications. Understanding the probability of when and where drift may occur gives applicators confidence in the safety and effectiveness of their processes.

Developed specifically to manage the risk of pesticide drift, GDA has developed an general aerosol drift model for drift prediction. Based on our capabilities in data assimilation, this model incorporates localized wind estimates and other meteorological factors, topographic data, and aerosol characteristics including chemical structure and droplet size to provide a real-time estimate of localized drift potential and risk.
