Planning Under Uncertainty

Planning Under Uncertainty

In supply chain, military missions, and disaster response, critical tasks include the collection of information about a situation, operational planning, and execution. Mission conditions are dynamic, as can be the team's objectives or priorities. Planning for success in uncertain, and changing scenarios requires situational awareness, sophisticated and robust algorithms, and human experience.

GDA has developed methods to improve the reliability of time-critical planning and delivery while remaining trustworthy in the face of disruption. Informed by the field geometric health and environmental models, our algorithms provide optimal strategies for the use of unmanned vehicles in asset delivery and communication coverage while accommodating mobile launch and recovery platforms. These models track the inherent instability in their estimates to allow confident decisions to be made in uncertain environments.
